Mixing MSA1000 and EVA3000 on same Windows Box

We have some crazy user request to test the difference between IO on a MSA1000 and an EVA-3000, both SAN connected to a Windows 2003 box using Secure Path 4.0C.

We have had some problems with this, but my question is "Is mixing presentation of SAN fibre arrays permitted in win$?" Isn't there a Disk 0 issue?

Ian,
just checked the latest design guide from monday - it is not supported, but of course you can try for fun.

I am not sure I understand your last question correctly, but there is no disk device at LUN 0. Both arrays present a pseudo device at LUN 0.

Thanks Uwe, knew it was something to do with the device 0.

Hello Ian,
here is a 'nice' URL that redirects to some documentation.
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/san/documentation.html

It is currently: "HP StorageWorks SAN Design Reference Guide (AA-RMPNW-TE)".

Happy to share and hope you enjoy!
