I have one HP Integrity rx2600 (Itanium2) running linux with a MSA-30 array connected to SmartArray 6402.
1. How do i monitor the array? I have no software, the drivers came from "linux enablement kit for linux". Is there any software who monitors the raid?
2. Whats the EMU port do one the array? How do i access it?

In that case, an LCD display on the top of the enclosure is connected to the EMU (the port used to be labled with "LCD").

Re: Monitor the MSA-30 in Linux
This will give you power supply status, file system(s) utilization, disk status, firmware levels, everything you could want EXCEPT IO performance.

Re: Monitor the MSA-30 in Linux
It depends what you mean by 'monitor', but on HP-UX there is an EMS HW monitor, msamon, that reports events for MSA30 devices. This comes with the OnlineDiags.

Re: Monitor the MSA-30 in Linux
I like to monitor if a disk has failed in the RAID. Is that possible? Running RedHat AS 2.1 ia64
