Re: Monitoring MSA30
MSA30 could be managed & monitored by HP Insight Manager. You can download HP-UX version of HP SIM.
Refer following sites to get information.
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/11738_ca/11738_ca.HTML
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/index.html?jumpid=go/hpsim
EMU port could only be used for IPMI communication with an IPMI client. As you might be aware , EMU is used for environment monitoring like temp. power supply, fans. So with EMU port , it is only possible to monitor these environment entities only.
For complete monitoring and managing ( including environment entities ), HP SIM should be used.

Re: Monitoring MSA30
It depends what you mean by 'monitoring'. There is an EMS HW monitor that comes with OnlineDiags, msamon, that reports events for the MSA30.
See http://www.docs.hp.com/en/diag/ems/emd_msamon.htm and http://www.docs.hp.com/en/diag/ems/msamon.htm for more information as to whether this is what you want.
As always, you should look to have the latest OnlineDiags release and patch for that release installed.
The link to the OnlineDiags is:
http://www.software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B6
191AAE
You can also go to http://www.software.hp.com and then type "B6191AAE" in the search box.
The latest patch for the current 11.23 release of OnlineDiags is PHSS_34034 .

Re: Monitoring MSA30
Sunil, Sameer, what monitoring of the MSA 30 does the basic HP-SIM provide?
