Hi,
I have a Smart Array 3200 and tried to upgrade the firmware from NT (on-line flash) but I got an error message that it is locked and that I need to do an off-line upgrade.
What is the proper procedure to do the off-line upgrade for the Smart Array firmware?
I tried to look for a utility in this site that will create a bootable diskette and utomatically upgrade the firmware but failed to find one.

Hi Jian,
try here:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/14694.html
Options ROMpaq for Array Controllers. Creates a set of floppy diskettes - you only need the first one. It's bootable and has the FW for the 3200 controller. (you need to cold boot the system for it to work)
Regards,
Stephen
