Old hdds and RAID-Array with G4 ML350&DL380. plz help! (+)
Sorry for a long story, but the info is needed on the urgent basis:
our company wants to buy this server:
370596-421 Rack ProLiant DL380 G4 R04 Xeon DP 3200-1.0MB/800 (HPL-Backplane, 6i RAID, 1GB)
shall we be able to use these hdds with it:
hot plug hdds:
15000 RPM:
18G WIDE ULTRA3 SCSI LVD/SE
Drive CPN 188014-002
189395-001
189709-001
10000 RPM:
18G WIDE ULTRA3 SCSI LVD/SE
Drive CPN 233806-002
152190-001
154898-001
will they function ok? i need raid5 or raid(1+0) with 'em.
---------question2---------------------------
we'd like also to buy ML350G4 with the _N_O_N_ Pluggable cage.
354611-422 ProLiant ML350 G4 T04 Xeon DP 3000-1MB/800 (non-HPL-Backplane)
I want to use Compaq RAID Array 431 or 3200(made in 2000)
and I've got lots of non pluggable hdds:
36G WIDE ULTRA3 SCSI LVD/SE
Drive CPN 233806-007
189395-001
189709-001
shall i install 'em into the box ok? (i mean power supply and the rails for hdds?)
PICTURES OF THE DRIVES WITH P/N IN THE ATTACHM.
Thank you in advance!
