Other Vendors SCSI Storage Enclosures

Will this controller work with other vendors storage enclosures like Dell's PowerVault 211S? We received a Dell RAID Rack with drives from another division but all our servers over here are Compaq with Prioliant Storage UE Racks. Also, would the Smart Array 431 work with a Dell PowerVault?

Not to be a smart-a**, but the 53xx seems to have some issues with genuine Compaq drives and enclosure, so I'd be careful about connecting non-Compaq peripherals to it without doing a lot of testing first.

The controller is not supported in the Dell computer .....
