P2000sa G3 host port performs at actual speed 3Gb

Hi, All
I have one controler Enclosure P2000sa G3 and
P2000 6Gb 12-drive enclosure.
There are 7 SATA disk in P2000 6Gb 12-drive enclosure. And 8 SAS 6Gb drivers in P2000sa G3.
One host with HP SCO8e 6 Gb SAS HBA is connected to array, one port is connected to controller A, second port to controler B, cable is HP Ext Mini SAS 4m Cable.
Actual host port speed is 3Gb. Why it does not perform at 6 Gb speed?

P2000sa G3 is dual controller array.

And what is your operating system?

A 4 m SAS cable is not listed as supported cable in P2000 quick spec, only 2m 407339-B21. Cable is one of potential problem.

SC08e HBA is supported only in Proliant G6 and G7 servers, and should be installed in PCI-E 2.0 x8 slot. Only this setup will allow full performance of SAS links.

But HP tool Sales Builder for Windows allows me to add to specification 432238-B21 HP Ext Mini SAS 4m Cable. I use this cable to connect P2000sa G3 to host.

SBW and quick spec is inconsistent. OK, I think the quick spec is incomplete. SAS 6Gb can operate on passive copper cable up to 6m, so we can use in this situation 6m cable also (HP 432239-B21).

What about your server model and PCI-E slot the SC08e is installed in?
