P212 going from raid 1 to raid 10

Hi,

We have a P212A raid card in a HP ML330 - at this time without the 256mb write back module and we need to goto raid 10.

So I have purchased the 256mb module and the 2 extra discs.

Is it possible for me to add the module and the 2 discs and change the raid 1 to raid 10 without having to rebuild the array, and thereby not having to do a full backup/restore.

Many thanks for answers and pointers to the documentation to do this (if possible)

Thanks

Re: P212 going from raid 1 to raid 10

Hey, should be possible.
It's called 'migration' in HP language.
See http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00294139/c00294139.pdf page 25 for details how to do it.

P212 do support raid level migration, see the quickspecs:

I couldn't find any details confirming that it's possible to go from a RAID1 to a RAID10. But maybe your array already is RAID1+0 but with two disks?
