P6000 = EVA 4400
I want to ask several questions.
P6000 = EVA 4400 ?
My server was installed Windows 2003 (32 Bit) and Command View 9.1. Now I want to re-install server with Windows 2003 (64 bit). Can I HP Command View 9.1 support for Windows 2003 (64 bit)? If not, how can I download the Command View software from HP site (URL)?
What is the lastest version of Command View sofware for EVA 4400 ? Do I need ro upgrade EVA 4400 firmware before installing software?
How can I export license key of Command View software for old serve to new server?
Regards,
Steven

Re: P6000 = EVA 4400
Hi,
the P6000 is the new name EVA series.
See http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13904_na/13904_na.HTML and for comparison http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12893_div/12893_div.html
You can download the latest Command View and XCS (firmware) from http://software.hp.com
I'd suggest that you read the "Updating Product Software Guide" on http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodClassId=-1&contentType=SupportManual&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=3664763#3
There should be an export license button in Command View - checked the user guide if you cannot find it? Or maybe it was introduced in a later CV version..
Also don't forget to upgrade the management module.

Re: P6000 = EVA 4400
Hi
All the answers about versions of software and hardware you will find in hp site SPOCK
look at the P6000 (EVA) Compatibility Reference
download from
there is no need to export command view license as it is not exclusive to the server and once initialized is on the EVA itself.
Regards

Re: P6000 = EVA 4400
P6000 is nothing but indication of new generation of EVAs like P6300 and P6500 but still EVA4400 exists and all EVAs are generally identified by P6000 series.
It is recommended that HP Command View 10.0 is used to manage the HP Enterprise Virtual Array with controller software XCS 10100000. So please find the following advisory which will help you to understand better,
HP Command View 10.0 download link,
https://h20392.www2.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=P6000_CV10
It is always advisible to upgrade XCS firmware as well. Please find the links,

All other details related to XCS upgrade you can find in the following customer advisory,
The installed licenses are stored in a text file called cvlicenses.txt.
You can find it under Program Files/Sanworks/Elemt Manager for StorageWorks HSV/licenses.
Also attached is the latest EVA Compatibility ref guide.
