Re: Parity error/ Can't read from disk
Did the Server crash , before problem started ?
Did you apply a ROMPAQ , add anything new to the Server ?
Have you tried re-running the System Configuration Utility , Array Configuration Utility ?
Have you tried upgrading the firmware on the Smart 2/P ?

Re: Parity error/ Can't read from disk
This type of error is usually not the cause of a boot issue. When does the configuration error come up (OS or POST)? Do you get other errors when starting the system?

Re: Parity error/ Can't read from disk
At server start the array controller reports no problem. When NT loader is checking hardware its stops and displays a warning message.
"Windows NT cannot start due to hardware diskconfiguration error...."
When i use the DAAD it reports an Array controller error with a red! on the controller. I can access the partition with a DOS bootdisk and Partition Magic and even resize the partition.
The server is configured with 3x 4,3 Gb disks in RAID5.
