Please Help! can't see disk from MSA after replace FC HBA

The FC HBA card links to the SAN switch based in the MSA 1000.

After I replace it, I cann't find any disks in the MSA using ioscan -fnCdisk.

I have checked the san switch, there is no zones.

should I resetting the ACL in the MSA?
thanks!

Re: Please Help! can't see disk from MSA after replace FC HBA

The MSA1000 uses SSP to regulate access to disks. SSP is based on the HBA WWN, so right now that HBA has no LUNs presented so it sees nothing.

You must use ACU, select the MSA1000 controller, Selective Storage Presentation and mark what LUNs should be visible by this new WWN on the list.

HP Array Configuration Utility

This is the utility you use to manage HP SmartArrays.

Windows or Linux, I think, see the downloads page for your server.

ACU is also available on the SmartStart CD-ROM.

Re: Please Help! can't see disk from MSA after replace FC HBA

My customer only HP-UX using MSA1000, so I cannot use ACU which only supports Linux and Windows.

I think there is another way to configure it:
connect my laptop to the MSA with its special console cable, right?

are the commands the same as ACU CLI's ?

Thanks a lot!
