Problem attaching Promise vtrak 15100 to smart array 5i
I'm trying to connect a Promise raid box (vtrak 15100, 15X 250gb disks) to the external scsi port (port 1) on a DL 380 G3 (all of this is new equipment). I defined two logical volumes on the vtrak at raid 5, each 1.5TB (seven disks) and assigned each a separate scsi id (4 and 5). The volumes showed up during the smart array initialization, and I was able to define each of them as raid 0 devices to the 5i. Unfortunately, the smart array showed only about 1400GB for each logical volume instead of 1500. Is there a way to get back the missing 200GB? Thanks.

not a real issue; stupid user problem.
