Problems Command View
EVA4100
Windows 2003 Server
Command view 7.0
When i access command view, received a message:
"Your management agent is initializing. This process requires discovering all visible storage systems and reading their event files. If you have a large number of storage systems, and those systems contain large numbers of events, the process may take some time.
Please wait . . ."
I restart the command view service and the storage server, but don't solve the problem.
Fernando.

Re: Problems Command View
You can do it one controller at a time from the front OCP.

Re: Problems Command View
You did not fully describe the situation.
How long has the EVA been running?
Do you have other EVA's? or is this a single EVA you are trying to manage?
Do you know the XCS version running on the EVA?
Is Command View.. CV 7.0.0? or has it been udated to 7.0.2?
Theoretically, you can restart one controller at a time without interrupting the "operational" environment, but nothing is fool proof.
Was Command View working previous to this?
When did it stop working? What was done around the time it stopped working?

Re: Problems Command View
How long has the EVA been running?
3 years
Do you have other EVA's? or is this a single EVA you are trying to manage?
There is a new EVA4400 and i try to create a zoning wiht storage server, in the first time i create eva4400 with storage server zoning, but the command view dont view the eva440, just 4100, because the version os command view is 7.0.2.
Then, i remove the eva4400 zoning with storage server, i reboot the server, then command view stop working.
Do you know the XCS version running on the EVA?
no, i can't access the storage, can i view by controller menu?
Is Command View.. CV 7.0.0? or has it been udated to 7.0.2?
7.0.2
Theoretically, you can restart one controller at a time without interrupting the "operational" environment, but nothing is fool proof.

yes
When did it stop working? What was done around the time it stopped working?
When storage server view the eva4400 controllers and i remove the zoning and reboot the storage server.
