How can I expand the size of a logical drive? Will Partition Magic work?

Re: Proliant 1600 Smart 2/P Array Controller Logical Drive Expansion
You are talking about an OS partition, not the RAID logical, yes? Or both may be?
Typically it is both. Users typically want to increase the size of the OS partition because they are running out of space. We RAID you first need to add space to the array, either through adding new drives to the server, joining them to the existing array or creating a new array OR replacing the existing drives with larger drives, one at a time, rebuilding the array between each replacement.
Now you will have a larger logical RAID drive but your OS partition has not changed, the added space is unformatted, "free space" to the OS.
Now you can attempt to expand your current partition size with tools such as ServerMagic (PartitionMagic does not work with logical drives only physicals) or MS's own partition tool OR create a new partition in the OS
