Proliant 6000 with SmartArray 3200
We have a Proliant 6000 (P43) and SmartArray 3200 running with 6 x 4.3GB and 6 x 9.1GB. We running out of space lately, so we desided to change all our 6 x 9.1GB Hard Disk to 4 x 36.4GB Hard Disk. After we unplug all 9.1 and insert all 36.4, we encounter an error message as below: 1785 - slot 3 Drive array not configure. Is it due to incompatible 36.GB with the controller. We also tried it with patch the lastest firmware for the controller, abd we still get the same. Any advice ?? Thank you

Re: Proliant 6000 with SmartArray 3200
SO, you had backed up the data on the 9GB RAID, removed the drives and put in 36GB drives and then were going to restore the data?
The error is because the old array of drives has been removed, I would guess.
You will need to delete the 9GB array before removing, then replace with the 36GB drives and reconfigure the 36's as a new array.
