Proliant 6500 server Freezing - error message "Non Fatal Error on ida/c0d0"

I am running a Compaq Proliant 6500 with Red Hat Linux 2.4.18-26.7smp.
I have a Smart Array 221 Controller that is configured as 1 logical drive and have 4 18.2 G physical drives.
I am getting the error message "Non Fatal Error on ida/c0d0" during boot up.
When I run my back up program the server freezes up and I have to use the power switch to reboot. There is no specific error message recorded when this happens.
This has just started happening recently, I had run the system since July 2002 without a problem.
The Array Diagonistic Utility Report (Attached) does not reveal any problems. The Smart Start Diagnostics Program does not detect any problems.
I am going to switch out the Hard Drives, as soon as I am able to successfully complete a backup.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Richard

One of the Drives finally failed today. 4/19/2003
I expect replacing it will solve the problem.
