Promise Raid Controller Fast Trak TX2
Creating Array With an Existing Data Drive:
1.) install Raid Controller
2.) start the system
3.) install the driver
4.) restart the system
5.) Promise log: Cann't be found driver / device manager driver OK
6.) system down
7.) change the system disk to the Promise controller
8.) make a security (mirroring) RAID im Promise BIOS
if I will boot, I have a blinking courser on the left screen.
Win2000
SP3

Most probably the OS hanging. The first error is because you had no devices on the RAID but have it On.
You may have to reinstall the OS while the drive is attached to the new controller.

I have many programs on the harddisk and i would not like to new install the operating system.

I have this exact system at home, and when I bought the Raid Controller, this is what I did.
Downed the server and installed the Raid card, but do not connect the disks.
restart the OS and when prompted for the driver for the Raid card, feed in the disk. When the driver install is complete, look at device manager and you will see the controller there.
Then down the server again, and connect the disks. When you reboot, select the array configuration (Alt-F I think) and select mirror set.
There will be another reboot, and then you should be sweet as!
