Quantum Drives

I would like to replace the drives in my current Smart-2P RAIDS configuration (hot swap) with 36.7GB, Quantum Atlas 10KII drives. Will they work, and if so, what jumpers need to be set?

Re: Quantum Drives

Compaq recommends that all hard drives that will be configured and supported by the Smart2X, 3X, 4X and 5X, should be Compaq hard drives. The reason 3rd party hard drives should not be used on any of the Array controllers is that the RIS tables on the Compaq Hard Drives has been engineered to communicate with the Array Controllers. The Quantum drives can be used on the embedded controller with no fault tolerance. Also, the jumper settings on the Quantum drives can be obtained from the www.Quantum.com website. Search on hard drives>jumper settings matrix.
