We recently upgraded our EVA4000 and part of that process was to upgrade the RSM (HP Replications Solutions Manager)to 3.0. When we try to start RSM it fails and gives this error "Connection refused to host: localhost; nested exception is:java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect". We currently have JRE 1.6.0_03 installed on the management server. The management server is a dl145 proliant running MS Windows 2003 SP1. I've found a similar posting to this problem but there was no solution to the problem. I would appreciate the help.
Thanks, Shawn

Solution
We too faced a similar problem,
may not be relevant but just for your info.
Try starting the rsm service in the windows services, if it fails check whether you have the replserv.exe file in the bin folder of the rsm installation folder.
If it is missing copy it from a another rsm installation server.

Re: RSM fails to start: "java.net.ConnectException:Connection refused"
Thanks for the help Anthonys. I stopped both the RSM database and server in Windows Services. I uninstalled RSM and then reinstalled it. Everything seems to be working.
Thanks, Shawn
