hi,
In xp512, each DKU can accomodate 12 disks and four of such DKUs combine together to make a quadrant for a Raid group.
Right now, i have three disks in the four DKUs and the groups are
1-1, 1-2, 1-3 ; 2-1, 2-2, 2-3 ;
3-1, 3-2, 3-3 ; 4-1, 4-2, 4-3.
My question is, if the four DKUS of R1 and L1 have 12 disks each, will the Raid group numbering continue on in the sequence
1-4,1-5,1-6,1-7,1-8,1-9,1-A,1-B,1-C ??
(can all the twelve disks of R1, L1 quadrants be put to use by the RAIDS ?)
I am looking for the exact numbering from folks who already have 12 disks in their Xp512 DKU.
thanks!

Raj,
Please keep in mind that the 1st B4 of either a R1 or L1 holds only 11 RG's the other slots are for spare disks.
So it numbers like this:
R1 1stB4: 1-1 to 1-11
2ndB4: 2-1 to 2-12
L1 3rdB4: 3-1 to 3-11
4thB4: 4-1 to 4-12
R2 5thB4: 5-1 to 5-12
6thB4: 6-1 to 6-12
L2 7thB4: 7-1 to 7-12
8thB4: 8-1 to 8-12
Regards,
Mark

Re: Raid Groups number ?
Mark,
Thanks! I just wanted to make sure, since the disks are not in yet and i needed to make some estimates.
