Raid5 with RX6600

I have a RX6600 with 3-disk (3x 146 GB). The controller is Core IO SA Contrler(P400) NoRAID.

I want to have one raid group.

What is the detailled proc├йdure.

Thank you.

Re: Raid5 with RX6600

The integrated SAS IO controller can only do a mirror between 2 drives (not more) plus a hot spare.
All other disks are "plain" disks - no RAID 5.

If you want to have a RAID 5 or 6 you need to upgrade to the P400 smartarray controller.

What you can do is to use LVM to create RAID1 or 0+1.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Raid5 with RX6600

I install HPUX 11iV3 in a few weeks.
I want to place HPUX and data on the 3 disks in raid5.

Re: Raid5 with RX6600

If the disks are already connected to the P400, go to EFI shell and run "reconnect -r".

Connect to the offline config tool once prompted (ESC 8) and configure your drives.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
