Re: MSA active-active/active-passive
Hi,
if i have a clustering solution with 2 HBA from each server. which is connected to both switch on the MSA(active-passive).
do i need to add both WWPN in the ACL for the host to access the LUN?

Re: Re: MSA active-active/active-passive
Yes.
In ACU, under SSP (Selective Storage Presentation... you will see a listing of the HBA's the MSA see's. You need to give the HBA connection a name, set the OS type and grant it access to the logical disk(s) it needs.
In zoning terms, you will have to create at least 1 zone per fabric on your SAN Switches that include the ports each hba is connected to (or the WWPN's of each HBA) and the MSA controller on that fabric.
These are very basic configuration tips and without knowing more about your environment, I can not be 100% certain that all these things are necessary.
Let us know if you have more questions, and/or post additional information about your configuration. (Types of servers, types of HBA,s what SAN Switches, etc.)
