Storage Boards Cleanup
To make it easier to find information about HPE Storage products and solutions, we are doing spring cleaning. This includes consolidation of some older boards, and a simpler structure that more accurately reflects how people use HPE Storage.

Recently refreshed my storage appliance...questions

Hello,

I have recently refreshed my appliance with
WS2003 SE OS and Command View v5.0. When I connect my Fibre to the Emulex controllers the OS discovers new hardware and prompts me for driver software for a number of my HSV110 Storage array devices. Question: How do I satisy the driver request, where do I point it to?

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Recently refreshed my storage appliance...questions

You don't need a true device driver for the HSV controller devices, only a small .INF file. HP offers so-called "Smart Components" which include the Fibre Channel adapter's device driver and a set of .INF files which helps Windows to correctly identify the controller devices. It will also make sure that the adapter's parameters are correctly set in the Windows registry.

I suggest you go to HP's web page, look up the product page of your Emulex adapter and then download the correct component.

I will ignore the New Hardware Found response.
