Redundant Controller for RA4100
I have a bunch of 4100 units around, most don't need to be operational. But I would like to divide and conquer. Is it possible to just take the controller card out of one unit and make it the secondary,(redundant) controller in another? If so how? Will it need a special firmware flash to make it Redundant? I seem to get error indicators on the unit when I first install. Compaq Techs said it should work, but I can't tell.

Re: Redundant Controller for RA4100
There should be no problem, check you Array Controller Software for any errors.
Your Smart Start CD 5.5 should be able to connect to the controller at boot...
The initial problem might be related to the batteries being low or gone...

Verify that You have the same firmware version on both controllers.
