Reg: Increasing the size of EVA 8000 SAN Storage system
Hello experts,
I have a EVA 8000 storage system. One vdisk is assigned to a client server to be used as a filesystem. Now I am in a need to extend the Filesystem.
Is there any possibilities to increase the Vdisk in the EVA 8000 storage system thru' either the Windows management server or the client RHEL4. This is an urgent requirement.
Details are :
SAN Storage system : EVA 8000
Management server : Win 2k3 Storage edition
Filesystem used by : RHEL4
Rgrds

Re: Reg: Increasing the size of EVA 8000 SAN Storage system
Hi,
it has to be extended via the SSSU or CVE (Command view eva) software running on the SAN SMA. Then on the UNIX/Linux host side it is best/most flexible to use the LVM for the expansion

the pain is one part of the reality
