Replaced all drives in RAID 5 with larger drives

I've just replaced all the drives in a RAID 5 array with larger drives. The drive is not the OS drive. What is the cleanest way to allocate all the extra space in Windows 2003. Should I do a backup and restore? Can I just create a new Logical drive with the Unused space and combine it with the other one ... and if so can this be done while the server is in operation or will it require down time?

Michael:

No. Simply extend the logical drive you want to have more space via ACU. Once complete, use diskpart.exe to extend the partition.

Diskpart info...

Diskpart takes about a half a second to complete.

ALWAYS do a backup beforehand.!!!

What type of array, and what O/S?
