This is IMHO a bit too general and wrong, but these disk modules for the nike are converted to F/W SCSI with special connectors for enabling hot swap.

Just pull out the bad disk, will probably have a amber led on the bad drive, and replace it.
It should just start the rebuild automatically, unless drastic configuration changes have been implemented.
It will take a while for it to present itself back as normal to HPUX. If you want to see whats happening with the array, while its rebuiding and check the config then attach a console directly to the serial port on the back of the array. You will be able to view the grid manager software here.
As for the disks they are all single ended scsi disk in the disk caddies. someone has previously swapped one without the clarion firmware as well. but its fine.

Thanks for all your help ..... just removed the Bad disk & inserted a new one.. it automaticaly started the rebuild.. i viewed it via cstm ..
Everything is working fine now..
