SMI-S CIMOM doesnt install when upgrading to Command View EVA 9.1
The initial problem we experienced was that the SMI-S CIMOM component wouldnt install when upgrading to Command View EVA 9.1. This causes a connectivity issue between CV and RSM where the storage systems cannot be detected.
The resolution was to uninstall CV, reboot, and install Command View 8.0 taking all defaults. Reboot. Then uninstall CV 8.0, reboot, and install CV 9.1. This resolved the issue we were experiencing on both our primary, and secondary SAN servers that contained CV/RSM. Hope this posting is helpful.
