Scan bad sector on Raid 5

I have ML530 and array 3200 install Windows NT 4.0 SP6.
Can I do scan bad sector on Raid 5.

You won't be able to do it without loosing your data. You have to go into F10 Diagnostics and choose the 3200 array controller. Then you select "Surface Analysis". This WILL destroy data but will perform the bad sector scan. You can choose "Read Test" that will test for unusable tracks without destroying data. But the Read Test is random and doesn't test the whole drive.

You can try running the Drive Array Diagnostics from your SmartStart CD. The path is \CPQADU\SETUP.EXE. It should report sector errors as well. But the best method is the destructive one. It will go out and test each physical spot on the hard drive for errors.
