Seagate SCSI drive replace compaq harddrive
I replaced the compaq harddrive which is in a hot swap case with a Seagate SCSI harddrive. When I put want to create an array with 4 drives (2 are compaq drives and two are Seagate drives), an error message comes up when I ran Array Diagnotics - Slot 2 - SCSI ID2 is not stamped for monitoring. Did anyone try to do this and solve this problem?

Re: Seagate SCSI drive replace compaq harddrive
Looks like disk in slot 2 has incompatible firmware revision and array claims it can not monitor drive because drive has no this feature enabled

Re: Seagate SCSI drive replace compaq harddrive
I know this is a very late reply, but in the HP Proliant Servers Troubleshooting Guide it suggests changing the array accelerator size, saving the configuration, then changing the array accelerator size back to it's original size and saving again.
I hope this helps someone,
