Smart 2/P upgrade

I need to install a SMART 2/P array controller into a PL 1600, which at present has two 9.1 gig drives running from the onboard controller, in a mirrored array configured by NT4. Can these drives be moved across to the SMART 2/P controller, without loosing their data?

No , you will lose data attaching the drives to the Smart 2/P from the Integrated SCSI Controller .
