Smart Array 4200 Firmware Upgrade Failed
We tried to upgrade firmware using ONLINE Windows 2000 package. It failed.
When server reboots it now reports an error:
1783 Array Controller Failure!
[Command failure (cmd=11h, err=020h)]
When trying to boot using the Firmware Maintenance CD or OFFLINE disketts, the computer seats indefinately and looking for devices. It never loads.
If we remove the card, the distketts load no problem. But obviously there is nothing to upgrade.
What to do?
Can we somehow flush the 4200 back to default? Or is it gone completely and nothing can be done?
(We tried it in multiple boxes - same thing).
