Smart Array 5i
I have (3)40 gig drives in my Proliant DL380 with Smart Array 5i and have added a fourth drive to the array. It has now been 12 hours and I am only 32% into the expansion. Is this normal?

Re: Smart Array 5i
First of all, I think you mean 36GB drives (40GB in the OS).
We usually count 3GB/hour during an Array expansion or rebuild, depending on the load on the server.
What you could have done and still can do, is to set the Array expansion priority to high, this will of course have an impact on the users.
