Smart array 642 disk upgrade 3 part question

I have added 3 new disks to my currant raid 5 drive array.
My currant drive array is 3 x 36GB disks.
I have added 3 x 36GB disks
My first 3 drives are logical disk 0
My 3 new disks are logical disk 1
Q1
My question is when the rebuild has finished running will they all be in 1 raid 5 set
or
will the be in two raid sets
Q2
The rebuild has run for 36 hours and is only on 85% on logical disk 0
If the answer to q1 is two sets can I delete logical drive 1 and add to logical disk 0. If one set please ignore Q2.
Q3
Lastly when will server 2000 see drive/space

Re: Smart array 642 disk upgrade 3 part question

Hi,

did you do the capacity expansion as described in the doc?
If so you have one raid 5 drive.
You can have two logical drives on one raid 5 drive.

hth,

Michael
