Standby server

We have 2 identical ML 370s, each containing a SMARTArray 5300 controller, and an identical number and type of disks in the internal bays. One server is the production server and the second is a warm standby.

We wish to swap our disks from the production server into the standby server in the event of hardware failure on the production server. What are the steps necessary to achieve this ? We are unsure how to get the standby server to adopt the array configuration stored on the transferred disks ( or does this happen automatically ? ).

We guess this procedure will be similar in practice to replacing a faulty SMARTArray controller but cannot find a detailed article describing this process. Any advice appreciated.
