Status message # 785 on ACU after rebuild!
Hi,
I have a MSA1000 that has an Array A with 8x72GB HDDs ( 3 logical volumes Raid6 ADG with spare). Recently a 72GB HDD fail and was replaced, after a couple of days, the rebuild of the 3 volumes finished. But the controller has the follow status message for more then a week knowтАж ItтАЩs this normal? Any ideas?
тАЬ
Status Messages
# 785 Background parity initialization is currently queued or in progress on logical drive 3 ( RAID 6 (ADG) in array A). If background parity initialization is queued, it will start when I/O is performed on the drive. When background parity initialization completes, the performance of the logical drive will improve.

Tanks.
Manuel Pereira.

Re: Status message # 785 on ACU after rebuild!
Did you manage to resolve this issue? I have the same thing - disk replaced but status message still displayed after 2 weeks! Also, my array is reporting as RAID 6 when it is in fact RAID 5.
