Still Confusing: Win2003 MSCS cluster on EVA 5000 with Securepath or MPIO?

Still Confusing: Win2003 MSCS cluster on EVA 5000 with Securepath or MPIO?

Hi,
I have to setup some Win 2003 SP1 EE cluster systems (MSCS) for a customer who has a EVA 5000 (EVA FW 3.x I asume). The Servers are all Proliant DL class with FC2214 or FC2214DC HBA's. SAN Switches are HP 2/128 SAN Directors.

I'm still confused on the Multipath Option I have to choose for a HP "supported" configuration.

As far as I understood in the past, EVA 5000 with FW 3.x doesn't support active active configurations and has to be used with Securepath 4.0c, while the FW 4.x EVA's should be used with Microsoft MPIO and the EVA full featured DSM.

Now...I found a (for me new ...) support matrix document, which describes that MSCS Clusters are only supported on FW 4.x EVA's with MPIO.
ftp://ftp.compaq.com/pub/products/servers/ha/microsoft/eva35k-32b.pdf

My Questions:
1. Are MSCS Clusters on FW 3.x EVA's no longer supported?
2. If they 're still supported, where can I find a Matrix document?
3. Which Multipath option should I use on Win2003 SP1 MSCS clusters with EVA 5000 3,x FW?
4. What is the Basic Feature DSM for EVA 5000 3.x ? Can I use this with MSCS Clusters (and real Multipath?

Kind Regards
If

The EVA5000 is supported with either SecurePath or MPIO for Windows and MSCS.
You find all the details in the SAN design guide on
http://www.hp.com/go/sandesign

The matrices you are looking for are Table 77 and 78 in the current Septembre 06 release of the guide!

The MPIO drivers can be downloaded from here:

Your original understanding was the correct one:

v3.x ---> Secure Pathv
4.x ---> MPIO

It's that simple.
