Upgrade 431 to 5302/xx

Upgrade 431 to 5302/xx

We want to upgrade the 431 SCSI controller in a ML570 to a 5302/ax controller. Is this a backup/restore update or does the new controller recognize the Raid-set.
If this is possible. What procedure must we follow.

make sure that you keep you hdd in the same order and you will be fine. The controller will read the risc table off the hdd's and find its config and run from there.

The upgrade can be done without a backup and restore . But do recommend you have a reliable backup done before upgrading .
