Um, have read the doco and understand that some form of change freeze has to occur when upgrading the VCS firmware to V3.110 (from v3.028) on a pair of EVA-5000s. As they are in a Continuous Access relationship, the doco says that .... "During the time that the HP Continuous Access EVA storage systems are running different controller
software versions, you cannot make any configuration changes to your storage systems."
Can someone clarify "configuration changes?" Is this more disk trays, adding or removing physical disks, adding or removing vDisks or even adding a new host?

Re: Upgrading VCS 3.110 on EVA5000 - no configuration changes?
Hi,
Here are some notes:
1. check the host side (HBA BIOS,firmware, drv, multipathing drv and disk io timeout values
2. make the full backup of all critical data for the worst possible scenario
3. suspend the CA pairs before the firmware upgrade and resume them after the firmware upgrade

the pain is one part of the reality
