Upgrading from SCSI to 431

Hi.
I have a Proliant 370, with one disk on SCSI, I wan't to install 431 Raid Ctrl and move the disk to this, then install next disk and make a mirror.

My problem is:
Whin installing 431 and moving the disk, the ctrl says "No logical drives", I then run ACU and set up a logical drive with the one disk (RAID 0), then I get no operating system, and if I boot on floppy, FDISK claims no partitions, I then move the disk back and server boots OK.

Any ideas of wha to do, and can it be done ?????

Flemming,

There is no way to migrate from plain SCSI to array without loosing data. In order to do what you want done, you'll need to install the 2 hard drives on the SA431 controller. Setup a logical drive as a mirror, then install the Operating System on it.

Have a nice day,
