Solutioncheck with
# armdsp -a
and
# armrbld -p
Your disk M/D10 is probably bad and needs replacement.
Consider to close your duplicated thread.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: VA 7110
Rebuild status:
Vendor ID = HP
Product ID = A6189B
Rebuild progress = No rebuild in progress
Auto Rebuild is = ENABLED
Rebuild priority is = HIGH
The array is not currently rebuilding.
How would i know what is the configuration done in all disk. Can anyone let me know the command. for example
Disk 1 --> data
Disk 2 ---> parity
Disk 3 ---> spare
Can i get above kind of details. Any command in brief.
Can anyone know how to browse into the Management console of my VA7110 SAN box.
Thanks

Re: VA 7110
The Drive @ location M/D10 is out and is not even listed.
Couple of things you could do here:
1) Reseat the drive and wait for a min, re-run the armdsp command and look for the drive.
2) replace the hard drive and since Auto rebuild and Autoformat are 'on' they should get the drive active.
Cheers!

Re: VA 7110
RAID Level:___________________________RAID1+0
so it is what you call the Magical Value, where you get high performance with great redundancy;
Replace the Drive 10 and you should be OK!
Cheers!

Re: VA 7110
I have already ordered new disk with HP. Will wait till that time.
Is that safe if I remove that particular 10th disk and push again ? Wont it affect any other disk?
Thanks

Re: VA 7110
it's a 'Re-Seat', you could definitely reseat the drive since
1) There are no rebuilds queued up this time.
2) The Drive is not a part of the array yet.
However, since you have already ordered the drive, I'd suggest waiting for the replacement.

Shiva
