VA7100 4/8 San switch

Hi,

I am looking for a compatbility matrix for a VA7100 and a HP Storageworks 4/8 San switch.

When I connect my VA7100 to the switch al always receive an L-port status on the switch

Re: VA7100 4/8 San switch

Little remark.

I only changed on port to Abritated Loop.
Should i change both port at the same time?

Re: VA7100 4/8 San switch

Hi Luk,

"I only changed on port to Abritated Loop" - where did you change the setting? Did you change the port settings on the VA (armmgr -y ..)?

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: VA7100 4/8 San switch

Torsten,

I changed the setting on my VA with launcher and cvui

HP will update the firmware to HP22.
I hope this will solve my problem.

Re: VA7100 4/8 San switch

For my experience, it's good to set the mode only on the device, leaving the switch in "auto" mode. If you want, you could send a

armdsp -a

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: VA7100 4/8 San switch

We had a downtime last friday.

I changed the settings through the RS232 port

mgr -c 1 -t 4
mgr -c 2 -t 4

This required a partial reset off my controllers.

Doing this solved my problem
