Hi all,
I'd like to upgrade the Firmware of the array controller (HP16).In the procedure, they tell me to turn the optimization policy off with this command : armmgr -o off
But the status of the array is "Optimization in progress, Disk scrubbing in progress". I do not understand what it stands for, 'cause I'm french...:)

Solution
When it's scrubbing the disks, it means that it is moving the data from RAID 1_0 to RAID5DP.
That's a background process for optimizing storage capacity and performance.
It should stop after a while when you didn't write any data to the array.
You can stop scrubbing manually with the command armmgr -p disable
Good luck,
Marco.
