Hello!
We have received a VA7400 (A6965A) and 10 73GB disk. Will be putting under HP Hardware support, but am told that we have to wait for 30 days before doing that. School starts in less than 3 weeks, and we have to have it in full production by then.
Am looking for the firmware, and was hoping to find them somewhere, or someone may have it. This is what I have, and I have Command View already working.
Controllers A6189A HP16
Disk ST373405FC HP08, HP09
Disk ST373307FC HP00, HP03, HP05
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Emil

Solution
Hi Emil,
the latest firmware at the moment is:
VA7400 HP20
LCC HP05
ST373405FC HP09
ST373307FC HP05
CV SDM 1.09
If you have Commandview (latest version recommended) already installed, you can find the disk firmware at HP website (look for DS2405 and you will find firmware packages for commandview) ->
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?locale=en_US&pnameOID=80609&taskId=135&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=81150тМй=en&cc=us&swEnvOID=54
But you have to place a call at HP support for the array firmware, a ce will come onsite and perform the update.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: VA7400 and Disk Firmware Update
Hi Torsten!
Thanks for the link. I never thought of looking under the DS2405. I was able to update all the disk firmware.
We have the latest Command View.
So now it is only the controllers and the LCC that I have to update. What is the LCC? The reason that I want to do it before it goes into full production as then there is no issues of possible data loss, etc.
Thanks,
Emil

Re: VA7400 and Disk Firmware Update
LCC means Link Controller Card. If you have some DS2405 connected, the Controllers inside this JBODs are called LCC. If you have a single VA, don't care.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.
