VA7400 - disk capacity
I am getting a VA7400, I need
to have 750GB usable. It is coming with 36GB disks.
How do I calculate 750 usable??. Thanks Mike

Michael,
there's no pure RAID5 in VAs - they have improved technology called AutoRAID and combining RAID 0+1 and RAID5DP (dual parity) data allocation.
For VA7400, AutoRAID mode and Automatic Active hot spare (AHS) you need 29x36GB disks. Without AHS you need 27 disks. But for redundancy reasons it's recommended to have AHS turned on to allow VA to rebuild data in case of disk failure
