VA7410 non redundant disk access

Hi,

on commandview I get the warning state:
Non Reduntant Disk Access

The VA works fine, all LED's are green
What's the reason ?

Thanks in advance
Juergen

Re: VA7410 non redundant disk access

is the cabling on our va correct?

take a look at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?locale=en_US&taskId=115&prodSeriesId=89018&prodTypeId=12169&objectID=lpg35225 for a picture a proper va7410/ds2405 cabling.
you probably have a single-point-of-failure in your cabling.

Re: VA7410 non redundant disk access

Do you have any JBOD arrays on your M/C1.J1 or M/C2.J1 ports? Your controllers may be disagreeing about links to your JBODS may be up or down. We have seen this warning arise several times on our VA7400. This usually was resolved with a swap-out of one of the controllers. This is usually a benign condition if you do not, in fact, have any JBOD's attached. If 'armdsp -a ' shows Link Up on one port and Link Down on the other you may have quarreling controllers. At least, that is when our site has wrestled with this warning.

hope this helps
