VA7410 shows very high utilization in GlancePlus
Hello,
I have VA7410 with 30 disks. GlancePlus is showing the same two disks with very high usage for the last few days since the system was moved into production. Isn't the array supposed to do some loaddistribution accross the devices to reduce the hot spots? can someone give me some pointers regaring the VA7410? Thanks

Re: VA7410 shows very high utilization in GlancePlus
Dave,
Are you sure GlancePlus is showing the rates of the physical disks in the va or showing the I/O rates of the LUNs as they are presented to the 9000?
As far as I recall, GlancePlus cannot look inside the va. A physical drive to Glance and HPUX is really a LUN on the VA. You could have two LUNs really busy but each LUN could be striped across its own redundency group in the VA. (e.g. HPUX Physical disk #1 uses 16 drives in the va and Physical disk #2 uses the other 14 drives)
