Vraid 5 and Vraid 1

Dear Team,
which one raid level is preferable for oracle database , mainly for datafiles , is it raid 1 or raid 5 , becasue in our current setup the datafiles are configured in raid 1.

Hi,
datafiles RAID5,
redo logs RAID1,
archive logs RAID1
and
each mirror redo and archive log in a separate small LUN.
Always all on the separate LUNs... to keep the high availability and good load balancing...
the pain is one part of the reality

dear freinds ,
i allocated disks from storage using Raid 5 , do i need to stripe or mirror in unix level if yes why we are doing that ,
