Which diskshelves are supported with P6x00 ?

Hi,

I have a customer who has an EVA P6300 with one AJ941A and three AJ840A. Now these latter are the supported SFF diskshelves. He is asking now if it would be possible to add three AJ940A.

So what I am basically looking for a is translation between these product numbers and the ones mentioned in the release notes for the P6x00, cause from what I read there just one type of SFF and one type of LFF is supported.

Re: Which diskshelves are supported with P6x00 ?

Hi,

thanks. I found that information myself too though and that's exactly why I was confused. Cause one of the diskshelves currently in their EVA is an AJ941A which is supposedly not supported.

Are there any risks to what they have going on there then ?

Where did you get this information from?

Command View?

Hope this helps!

Jep, command view and I am a bit suspicious cause they look the be exactly alike and have the same specs.

So are you suggesting command view might be reading some wrong product number somewhere? ( I checked the back but there there not P/N stickers on it (anymore))

Re: Which diskshelves are supported with P6x00 ?

From the documentation:

M6612 and M6625 are the product names for the large form factor (LFF) and small form
factor (SFF) disk enclosures for the P63x0/P65x0 EVA. However , the product name or model number
can appear in HP P6000 Command View as D2600 or D2700.

Hope this helps!
