Wide Ultra2
I have a ProLiant 800 PIII model with the 5 slot 271912-001 cage loaded with 5 18.3GB 10K RPM Wide Ultra2 drives and a Wide Ultra2 controller (SA-221). Will this cage and configuration run at Wide Ultra2 capacity?

Re: Wide Ultra2
The part number of 271912-001 is a Wide-Ultra SCSI-3 Hot Plug Drive Cage (5 x 1") Option Kit.
Is this the right part number?

Re: Wide Ultra2
Yes, my 5 slot 271912-001 cage is a 5x1 271912-001 cage (this is what it says on the cage). When I run the ACU from W2K Server and query information about my WDE Wide Ultra2 drives, the utility reports the speed as Ultra. Should this cage and configuration run at Wide Ultra2 speed? I just checked the SA-221's firmware (currently 4.16) and will be flashing to 4.50.

Re: Wide Ultra2
This cage will only run at Wide Ultra SCSI 3 speed.
Also if you are using Ultra2 hard drives then how did you make these fit?
Ultra 2/3 hard drives will not physically fit in a Wide Ultra SCSI 3 drive cage.
